Golden Axe 3 (Genesis/MD) CO-OP Playthrough / Time to remove another despot from the blacklist !!
6Golden Axe 3 (1993) by Sega is the third and basically the last two-decade part of this much-forgotten fantasy saga. Sega, after a rather "unsuccessful" sequel to the original game, decided this time to prove that they can deliver a better product in every aspect. Did they succeed ? As for me, yes. This is by far the best part of the series and everything in it is simply better from graphics to the combat system. The graphics are very nice, maybe not among the prettiest on the system, but compared to its predecessors it's a great improvement. Above all the locations deserve a mention here, because now they stand out from the rest. Thanks to the new color palette, each level seems less repetitive, as was the case with the previous two parts. Music is good, although I preferred the one from the second part, where there were many dynamic drum themes. The combat system has been enriched with new moves and even a block, which we didn't actually use during the gameplay, but can certainly be useful if you work out the mechanics and timing. The game has been enriched with the choice of the path we will follow to our destination and two new characters instead of Gilius Thunderhead. The only downside is the way the storyline was handled. It's really modest here, there are no major scenes or animations, it doesn't have that cinematic aspect . It's a shame because with this feature this game would be great, and so it's only very good :P only......
