Mickey Mania (Sega CD) Playthrough / An adventure in the Mickey Mouse multiverse. Excellent game.
Mickey Mania (1994) by Traveller's Tales is arguably one of the best platform games released at the time. What we have here is a typical 2D platform game , with its stages standing out to one degree or another from the previous ones. Surprisingly, a few stages use 3D graphics, either as a background or as a moving plane on which we move. This has been very cleverly put together and can definitely be appealing. Audio visuals are really impressive, beautiful backgrounds , great detailed sprites enriched with very detailed and quite smooth animations . And all this is accompanied by music that fits perfectly with what we are dealing with on the screen. I must admit that I'm surprised by the quality of this game, and in fact I expected definitely something worse. The only thing I'll stick to is the lack of a transparent storyline. We have mentions that we are in the world of different versions of Mickey Mouse and ............... that would be it . Well, maybe that his dog disappeared, but that's just the beginning really, and the fact that we are in worlds from different period was not touched at all. A literal enigma in which apparently we have to figure out for ourselves what was the cause of these events. Well, unless everything was written down in the manual , but that would be at least an idiotic solution for that period. In general, the game is beautiful and worth recommending to everyone.
