It's the final battle with Dark Guld, or as the text calls him, the "Evil Emperor".

Emperor of what? You can't be an emperor if you only control some mountains, a castle and a village! That's not even enough to declare yourself a king! He's a glorified tribal leader at the most!

Anyway, as it's the last fight, I get even lazier than usual and it shows (although that might have been the beer at this point). Not that it really matters, because I wouldn't have uploaded this if it all went tits-up, would I?

It's worth mentioning that neither Dark Guld nor his 'bodyguards' are anywhere near as tough as their counterparts in the original game, although there are potentially an infinite number of Skeletons if you just piss around and let them spawn.

So the war's over, our hero and his two lazy shit friends find themselves back in the village, and for some reason it appears the townsfolk are rushing in to try and beat the shit out of them all as the screen darkens...

...should make for an interesting third game. Oh wait, there already is a Golden Axe III, and it doesn't start like that.

Fuck.

Crap ending, by the way. But at least my Grade here wasn't too shit.
