So after looking at the demo to Wanton Brother again recently, it got me thinking of other demos I could look at again before the release of the respective game. I chose to look back at this one because, even if the demo is relatively short, it shows a lot of promise for what the full game has in store.

This demo gives us a brief insight into what the full version of this game has instore - with the general setting, minigames, and cast of characters being put in place. So far the game consists of 5 animatronics - Futuristic Freddy, Futuristic Bonnie, Futuristic Chica, Withered Fredbear, and Withered Springbonnie - all of which attack from the two hallways either side of us. The newer ones head to the left side, whilst the old ones take the right side. All the designs in this game looks pretty awesome - especially the two Withereds. Springbonnie's gaping jaw and battered facial expressions make him look terrifying. Fredbear also looks pretty cool, with only two red dots showing where his face is meant to be. The Futuristic animatronics are also pretty cool - taking inspiration from the Toy animatronics to form a basis. They aren't scary, but I don't think they're meant to be. Futuristic Chica looks menacing at the door though, I don't know why but it's a creepy render. I wonder if we'll see any more animatronics later on too - there's no mention of a Futuristic Foxy or Marionette, or any other previous animatronics (such as the regular Freddy, Bonnie, etc). I'm sure we may see a couple new ones, but we'll have to wait and see

As for mechanics so far, there's three different ways to fend off the characters - rebooting the animatronic's systems using the maintenance panel, flashing the flashlight at them, or just ignoring them. All three Futuristic animatronics are sent away using the reboot panel. It's similar to the Jammer mechanic from Jolly 3 (which will be returning soon), and is pretty simple to use. Fredbear requires us to leave him alone, and Springbonnie requires us to flash the flashlight at him. I like the contrast in mechanics with Fredbear and Springbonnie, as it requires us to remember audio cues or look at the cameras to see which is at the door. Well, I say remember audio cues, Fredbear is the only one with audio cues at this time. His glitchy voice plays when he moves, and he is the only one to bang on the door. I recon that Springbonnie will have similar audio cues which will make distinguishing who's at the door a lot harder. These mechanics are pretty well implemented, but I feel that adding a couple more mechanics may make the gameplay more interesting. There's a window infront of us that isn't used yet so I'm assuming that a new character will try to attack us from there.

Overall though, this game definitely has some promise to it. The mechanics and audio cues may be in early stages, but what has been put in place already has the potential to be a really fun and unique experience. The minigames also look to expand the story, and the post shift minigames may also help with that too. The post-shift stuff was never in this build of the game, but are mentioned in the phone calls, so I'm going to assume that we're still getting them. But yeah, that was Golden Memory 2's Demo. I apologise it's been a while again since the last video, but I'm happy to say I've got a backlog of videos again (after two different video corruptions lol). I won't be covering demos often, in fact this may be the last for a long while, but since this is a game I'm looking forward to, I decided to replay it. I should have another video out relatively soon (aiming for FGNaF and TRTF Winter Wonderland to return soon - the latter being meant to release today, only to find out both are corrupt). I also want to try some new games - Five Nights in a Horror Attraction has been recommended, along with FNaF 3 Plus (that I can't find for some reason), but I'll get round to them after a couple other revisits. I hope you're excited for that as much as I am, and I hope you enjoyed this video, even if it is a shorter one.
