So we've waited 7+ Years for new Rocksteady and WB Montreal Games and we've got both announcements at once. Is it good news? Well it's clear to me after Shadow of War that Publisher Warner Bros. have shifted direction and will be very focused on a GaaS heavy future with plenty of Micro transactions.

I do think the single player experience will be compromised, it's simply the reality of game design and when a publisher is prioritising people spending real money in game it's just not realistic that the SP Experience won't suffer.

The levelling system in terms of your enemies in Gotham Knights in particular looks like it was taken straight out of the Ubisoft playbook and I can't see it improving the game design, it's clearly in there to make monetisation easier to do.

That said I'll keep an eye on in this game and if things start to look promising I'm open to changing my view.
