GoW: Ascension - Martyr's Chamber skip v3 (for real this time)
7Thanks to Wulf2k9's other ledge magnetism spot, we can now skip the Martyr's Chamber intro cutscene along with the Scriber cutscene, saving some more time in a speedrun.
By going out of bounds at the top of the ladder leading to Martyr's Chamber, you are able to drop down into the Chamber without activating the intro cutscene. It seems that the loading trigger to the next area is not the intro cutscene after all - just touching the floor of the Chamber suffices.
Once out of bounds, using the elevator is a safe, pretty quick way to go upstairs. And then, the back wall a little to the left of the metal box has ledge magnetism properties to it, allowing you to continue on your way past the Scriber scene as well. All in all not a very difficult skip to do, but an useful one.
Doing this skip in a New Game file will make the game never unlock Chapter 17.
EDIT: for an even faster variation, don't use the elevator. Instead, use a hidden ledge magnetism spot inside the elevator, right outside the doorway you normally come inside there. Thanks to Robin Fleming for this variation.
