GTA TLaD Tips and Tricks: Why Bikes Can Vanish from Parking Spaces (Explained and How to Avoid)
0In this Video, I show why any Bike you put in any Parking Space can vanish. This is NOT exclusive to TLaD and happens in GTA IV as well as TBoGT! I am showing it in TLaD mainly because it's a "Biker Themed" GTA Game and also features a lot of Special Bikes in the Missions compared to GTA IV and TBoGT, but those GTA's have Special Bikes, as well, just not as many.
The reason why Bikes do this is because every time they are loaded into the game world, they move slightly in the direction that they are leaning. So in this case, I parked a random Hakuchou so it was leaning in the direction toward the street. As I made it spawn and despawn into the game world over and over, it kept moving closer and closer into the street and eventually OUT of the street. This is very bad because the Bike can easily vanish. I was honestly surprised to still see the Bike there after I saved and reloaded since it's literally NOT in the Parking Space at all.
To avoid this from happening, park your Bike in the OTHER direction, so it's leaning toward the sidewalk. There is a little lip on the sidewalk that will prevent the Bike from actually leaving the Parking Space, but I still don't recommend that.
The best possible thing you can do to ensure your Bike doesn't vanish is parking it at a Parking Space that you do not travel back and forth from or past very often, or at all (like Roman's Apartment Parking Spaces in Broker). If you have one close by, you'll likely want to reposition it every so often and keep a close watch on it as you progress through the game, or else it can vanish!
When I was a noob, I fell victim to this glitch. I had the EC Bati 800 from the Random Encounter parked at the Alderney Parking Spaces and from doing the Story Missions and Races, the Bati 800 eventually disappeared because of how many times I kept driving by the area and the Bike loading into the game world, which kept making it move closer and closer out into the street until I lost it for good and saved over it!
