2Game Information: Snowdrop Escape is a story-driven modification for Half-Life 2. Its events unfold a few years before Gordon Freeman's appearance in City 17. The invaders are tightening their grip on the dictatorship while The Resistance is slowly gathering strength. Plenty of abandoned, yet not rusty, assets remain outside The Combine's control, drawing the attention of the rebels. However, a third party enters the fray, reluctant to share their technologies with either the Invaders or the Rebels. This is the party you play for.
You assume the role of a professional mercenary named James. Your employers task you with infiltrating a rebel-held laboratory complex. You are to clear out any unwanted guests, initiate the emergency protocol, all while avoiding attracting The Combine's attention. As it turns out, this is no easy task...
Chapter Information: Six years after the events of Black Mesa, The Combine empire is continuing to expand its control over Earth.
Working for an independent third party, James Hugo is a mercenary who has worked for the organization in recent years. Meeting up with the leader of the organization known as Leonid, James is tasked to infiltrate a secret underground laboratory that was dedicated to studying the effects of parallel worlds that were not invaded by the Combine. The complex has come under the control of the Resistance who are attempting to use the laboratory complex to travel to other parallel worlds for help against the Combine invaders on Earth.
Having been informed of his task to wipe out the Resistance forces within the laboratory complex, James is dropped off at an old shack in the frozen regions of North Eastern Europe before he is ambushed by Resistance members and knocked out.
Managing to regain consciousness, James travels through a snowy blizzard and arrives in a section of the underground complex that is infested with Fast and Poison head crabs along with their Zombie variants.
Making his way through the bunker, James acquires some weaponry, solves some complex puzzles, holds off the Headcrab swarms, and is successfully able to venture deeper into the underground complex.
