2Game Information: Portal: Prelude, as its name implies, is an unofficial prequel to the game Portal.
It's story revolves around the pre-GLaDOS epoch way before she was plugged in.
Back then, test subjects were still monitored by real Aperture Science employees, a tedious, dull, and repetitive job.
One of the reasons why they decided to build a great artificial intelligence that could both replace them for these complex tasks and also take responsibility for many other functions within the complex while competing with Black Mesa's superiority.
Chapter Information: Making her way into Test Chamber 18, Abby is informed by the supervisors watching her that the important experiment to beat Black Mesa will soon occur later today.
Tasked with completing the last two testing chambers, Abby manages to solve a series of timed challenges in Test Chamber 18 before she is successfully able to retrieve a Weighted Companion Cube and exit the small, but complex test chamber.
Arriving in Test Chamber 19, Abby spends a significant amount of time within the extremely complex and large test chamber which is filled with tough and difficult puzzles that Abby finds tough to solve at first.
After solving a very tricky High Energy Pellet puzzle, Abby comes across a gigantic chamber with moving platforms that stretches onwards for miles above. Using advanced flinging techniques, and after Abby burns her companion cube, she finally manages to complete the testing track and enters the Aperture Science Office Complex.
