Half Life 2: Swelter Chapter Two: Steppe Playthrough 2K 60FPS (Hard)
Game Information: Swelter is a story-driven modification for Half-Life 2, with events taking place a few years before Gordon Freeman's arrival in City 17. The summer sun had been heating the lands of Central Asia long before the Combine's appearance, but in recent days, the heat arises from another source. A series of armed riots in City 545 has spurred scattered resistance groups to unite towards the common goal of liberation from the aliens. However, only a special individual can resolve the contradictions among these would-be allies. A representative of the lambda resistance's secret agents, having travelled from afar, disembarks from a train at just the right moment...
You can expect classic shooter gameplay inspired by the original game, along with puzzles involving physical interaction with objects, vehicle control, and exploration of various locations. The average playthrough will take about two hours.
The visual aesthetics aim to please with a seldom-represented Central Asian environment featuring spacious steppes, rocky deserts, and a city where oriental and socialist architecture intertwine. You can immerse yourself in this visual feast while listening to the unique musical blend of the original soundtrack and local ethnic motifs.
The plot explores the ideological split among former allies. Each in-game faction has its own perspective on combating the invaders from another world, along with their unique strengths and weaknesses. The mod does not include any manifestos and steers clear of unnecessary vulgarity and cruelty.
Chapter Information: Exiting the Combine controlled district of City 545, Mike arrives in a ruined section of City 545 inhabited by Xenian wildlife including Antlions, Headcrabs, Zombies, and the remnants of abandoned Resistance bases.
Managing to successfully discover a hidden Resistance outpost, Mike exits the City before he moves over a desolate river bed infested with Bullsquids and Antlions before he is given a Ranger jeep to navigate the vast desert wasteland ahead of him.
Using the Ranger jeep, Mike drives across various sandy deserts, ruined highway roads, crumbling bridges, and abandoned buildings infested with Headcrabs, Zombies, and Antlions that attempt to halt his progress in the vast desert wasteland around him.
Slowly driving across the desert wasteland, Mike encounters independent Black Squad outposts that provide Mike with assistance and explain more about life away from the Combine grip and living in the wilderness.
Eventually after fighting through a Zombie infested village, and navigating a railway line, Mike arrives at the main base of the Black Squad resistance group and finally meets Roki who introduces himself and explains a key package that the resistance group is protecting.
After Mike destroys a Combine Hunter Chopper that attacks the base using a grenade launcher, Mike heads onto a train located within the storage complex that heads towards City 545 as part of a major operation to cripple the Combine leadership within the City for good.
