0Halls of Torment is an epic new released action roguelike. You kill, collect exp, kill, level up, kill, customize your build, kill, complete side tasks like defending an area or collecting specific things scattered around an infinite and barren map, kill, and then kill the final boss of the stage to receive rewards in form of currency or items that make future runs easier and kill potential higher. All is well and good, you won't find anything as entertaining in the real world. Halls of Torment meta progression includes unlocking new heroes, spells/abilities, and various specialized items that can make or break your desired build. A wide possibility of choice and theory-crafting can make your journey to the highest damage number more engaging. Unlockable heroes have drastically different gameplay. The game's graphics is one of its strongest points. It has a pleasant color palette and a pixelated, clay model look that really resembles old isometric RPG games (mostly the Diablo series) and alludes to nostalgia, making us remember the good times of yore when games were better, online gaming felt engaging and had actual, real socializing, the grass was greener, and sun's shine was more golden, felt the brightest. Halls of Torment feels like a Gem, compared to many video games on the market, especially if you have been an avid player for a decade at least. Now that the game has been fully released and has a wide variety of content and even more achievements to grind for, I highly recommend it to everyone and consider it the high point of the genre.
