0Banquet for Fools is a new released super unique party-based RPG in development. It's an exploration-focused fantasy game that takes place on a gloomy island called Invimona whose inhabitants have all mysteriously disappeared. You control a group of characters sent to investigate the disappearance on behalf of their ruler. You and four custom-generated companions are tasked with doing the investigating. Invimona is a place rich in history, with its ancient gods shunned and replaced by pagan practices. As you explore, you’ll uncover these gods’ hidden powers and choose how to engage with them, balancing their boons against the costs they demand. The island is also home to grave robbers and other criminals, forcing you to make moral choices: do you kill enemies outright, or do you stun and capture them, sending them to Exile Island where the dead gather and punish those sent to its shores? Either way, your choices impact your party’s standing with the various factions and villages you encounter. The combat has a pausable real-time system, allowing you to manage tactics mid-battle. Each character has a range of skills—combat, pagan magic, rogue abilities, and even music—that can be customized and improved over time. You control one companion at a time but can switch between them freely, allowing you to take advantage of your party’s formation and abilities. Critical strikes can expose vulnerabilities in enemies, while rally attacks let you combine your companions’ strength for devastating blows. If the developers really put in the effort, this could turn out to be something truly amazing. Hope you enjoy my video.
