Hearthstone Mercenaries released 12th October and at first glance might seem like a strange JRPG inside Hearthstone? Let's take a look at Pokemon Hearthstone edition!

How to get the Sarge Mouse Mount in World of Warcraft (Hearthstone Mercenaries) https://youtu.be/Bxmb9vRcWDA
Many people who have either unplugged from Hearhstone a long time ago, missed the game mode reveal a little while back or have got their eyes focused on other games - *cough* New World
You might be wondering what the hell even is Mercenaries?
Is it free to play?
Is its just another one of their adventure modes?
just another wave of packs to grind out or spend cash on?
or most imporatnly - Redzy why the hell are you playing Hearthstone again?
Well it was all part of getting this free mount for World of Warcaft because who doesn't want a cute giant mouse to ride into battle on once Shadowlands is over and done with?
But also its completley free to try the new mode and yeah it snags you a pretty cool mount for WoW too so I figured why not give Hearthstone Mercanaries a try? If you want to know how to get that mount for free, check out the video with the link in description and at the end as well.
So I completley missed the mercenaries announcemnt and it turns out this is an entirely new game mode that is pretty close to actually being a fully flagged sepereate game set in a way, inside the hearthstone universe that plays with similar themes and mechanics that you're used to from playing the traditional heartstone modes but with a serious JRPG twist that like I say, pretty much makes Mercanaires its own seperate game.
Just like a traditional team battle JRPG you collect heroes that come from cards in packs you cna buy or earn by playing the game, completing missions, daily quests, etc.
You take those heroes and form a team for you to take into battle, through different quest zones that are also broken into adventures or quests that come in various level brackets for you to tackle.
The level brackets of course give you an idea of what level or strength your hero team need to be in order to overcome the challenge and then a few more layers of complexity start to come into play.
All heroes, enemies, quests and their encounters are broken into three different colours that represent a different type of combat tyle with their own respective strengths, weaknesses, abilities and attacks that suit their themes.
Red for meelee damage and tank style warrior heroes with taunts or aggressive ones with enrage attacks
Blue for caster type damage with single target or AoE attacks, self heal or support the party with buffs or heals.
and Green for high damage focused assasin types that can apply debuffs, trigger high damage condiotions and more.
These attacks, their damage and the heroes health are all unlocks and improved by increasing that heroes individual level through them completing quests to earn XP or reciving that heroes xp randomly in mercenariy card packs.
On top of that you upgrade the levels of your main hub which s used to upgrade heroes, build your team, complete daily missions and go on these quest adventures which as you increase in strength can be completed on even harded difficulties for greater rewards.
Basically that was a long winded way of saying this is like Pokemon for Hearthstone with an extra endgame mode for the eliete four.
For full disclosure I've played around an hour of Hearthstone Mercanaries completley free to play and so far it has been pretty fun and a really cool twist that works very well with Hearstone.
Of course there are elements of the free to play model that we will have to wait a little longer to see the true effect of. Such as how hard is it to aquire and level up effective heroes without spending money or an insane amount of time on the game?
Is it possible to fully upgrade your home base for free? Can you even hope to complete the full set of quest adventures and their base difficulty levels and whats the chances you can even tackle the heroic mode difficulty ones or is it all designed to have its hooks deep into you by the time you get there so you're more likley to spend money on the game?
My suspicions are raised and my gut tells me you would reach a point with the f2p model where you would not be able to progress vast amounts every day or time you play hearthstone mercenaries, but if the game is completley free and its enjoyable enough - maybe thats a fair trade off.
