Another Saturday, another war crime against my hardware. Welcome back to Helldivers 2, the game that makes my CPU sound like it’s about to launch into low orbit. And this time? It’s not bots, it’s not bugs—it’s the goddamn Illuminate. Space jellyfish with glowsticks, cultist cosplay, and more war crimes than I can count. I don’t know what’s worse: their smug, psionic waifu overlords that keep whispering in my brain, or the fact that my framerate drops harder than a Super Earth nuke on Malevelon Creek every time one of them spawns in.

We just came off holding HELLMIRE against Terminids while stealing habitat tech from bots, and Command’s reward for all that blood, sweat, and friendly fire? “Go spray paint the DSS in space polymers on a planet full of angry disco cultists.” Yeah. Totally not another suicide op. We’re seizing Karlia, apparently, because it’s the perfect place to aerosolize Super Earth’s latest “miracle science.” Let me tell you, nothing screams “safe workplace environment” like huffing democracy-approved polymers while dodging plasma blasts from a floating hentai chandelier.

So here’s the plan: survive the Illuminate’s light show, hold Karlia long enough for some engineers to spray-paint the DSS, and pray to Liberty that my CPU doesn’t cook itself into a molten paperweight. If I crash mid-stream, just assume the Illuminate waifu got me. If I don’t, then democracy lives another day… and my PC dies a little inside.
