In this episode of Skul the Hero Slayer, once again I play with Reaper, but this time with an Ability Spam Items focused strategy! Reaper is a character who the earlier you get him, the easier he is to play and the stronger he can become, and this is due to his souls mechanics. Reaper has the chance on kill to reap a soul from the enemy, which when collected gives Reaper 1% magic damage. When Reaper kills an enemy with his swap, it's a guaranteed soul gained from that enemy as well as the usual odds for a soul from that enemy as well. This doesn't sound like a lot, but over the course of a run you kill hundreds of enemies, so this can easily add up to an extra 300%, 400%, and even higher depending on how dedicated you are to farming with your swap. The thing about this is, I'm an advocate for the 150 souls theorem, where because Reaper's skills upgrade every 50 souls collected up to three times, the true goal to achieve with Reaper is getting those skills upgraded to their max, everything else afterwards is just simple fun. If you focus too much on swap farming you can lead yourself to taking a lot of accidental damage, which of course can lead to your death. That's enough about Reaper though, because this run also has a SECOND element, the Ability Spam Items! Ability Spam Items is one of the giga archetypes in this game centered around getting items that proc after you cast an ability. Stuff like Mage's Necklace, Nether Mana Suppressor, Bone of Mana, and many many more. Collecting all of these items together insuring you have a torrent of item effects every time you cast a skill is a sure fire way to do crazy amounts of damage, especially thanks to the ease of access of Go-Getter, the item damage amplifying Dark Ability.
