In this Skul the Hero Slayer video, I'll be using the Ascetic with an Ability Spam Items focused strategy! Ascetic is arguably the strongest of the DLC skulls, and I personally argue in favor of this. He's basically "what if Genie could also deal a ton of damage?", cause Genie has the extreme i-frame generation on his skills, but his damage while fine is one of the lower of the power skulls. Ascetic has those i-frame generating skills while also dealing hefty damage, and on top of that his skills are mostly stack skills, meaning they gain multiple charges. Ascetic is absolutely a force to be reckoned with, and because he has those stackable skills is why he especially excels in today's archetype: Ability Spam Items! One of my personal favorite archetypes to play around with, this build scales by casting skills and then an effect from your items procs. It's one of the more powerful builds in this game, and that's especially true for physical damaging Ability Spam Items. This is due to the existence of Manatech Gravity Generator and especially Olive Tree Cudgel. There are also other soft items that belong in the category such as Mana Eater and Goblet of Everlasting Heat, and also Hand of the Destroyer. This archetype is also extremely playable as a mixed damage run, but today we'll simply be going pure physical, which in this case is a massive boon to the run. So, that's today's idea, Ascetic with an Ability Spam Items focused strategy! Joined by Shield, can this hard hitting duo of power skulls show everyone what they're made of?
