[BLIND LET'S PLAY]

At school, shortly after Natsumi wakes up that morning, Natsumi listens in on Chisato and Akira talking about Natsumi's connection to Hinamizawa in secret, and predictably, in her frenzied state of mind, she interprets this action in the worst way imaginable and promptly attacks them. However, Natsumi's ambush fails, and she is forced to flee the school, with Chisato attempting to go after her.

Later on, in the nearby park, Tomoe Minai, who just so happened to have gotten done with an interview, spots a clearly distressed Natsumi in the park and attempts to help her, only for Natsumi's inner demon, Imustan, to try and attack Tomoe as well. Tomoe, however, is able to reach out to Natsumi, and give her the means to overcome Imustan through her own willpower, thus bringing what could've turned into a deadly confrontation to a close.

Later still, at the hospital, Tomoe and her associates discuss with one another on what to do with Natsumi considering her attempted assault on Tomoe, who was a member of the police force, before Tomoe decides to have a one-on-one with Natsumi herself after she regains conciousness in order to try and understand what exactly drove Natsumi to her state of insanity to begin with...
