Return to Shironagasu Island (Pt 4): Neo Confirms That the World He's in is Not What it Seems
8[BLIND LET'S PLAY]
Managing to save Akira from Black Mamba poisoning, Neo/Ikeda finally convinces Akira to reveal what she knows about Shironagasu Island as thanks for saving her life. What Akira reveals confirms much of what Neo initially suspected in regards to what the island was used for, although the fact that there is at least one other "black site" like Shironagasu Island makes Neo curious to know both about it, and the organization that created both this other black site and Shironagasu Island.
Unexpectedly, before parting ways with Akira, Akira, seemingly having taking a liking to Neneko after surviving the Black Mamba, tells Neneko to meet with her in her room later so Akira can show Neneko "how to become a proper lady". Neneko fears for her chastity, although Neo suspects Akira's intentions are more innocent than Neneko assumes.
But shortly after this, Ikeda notices a particular unpleasant smell coming from one of the rooms in the guest house, and upon invesstigating the room with Riehl they not only discover another corpse, they seemingly discover the corpse of the last person any of them (Neo especially) expected to find: Raymond. Raymond's corpse has the key to his living quarters stuffed in the chest cavity, which Ikeda takes, right before Vincent unexpectedly shows up, examines Raymond's body, and leaves while not saying a word to anybody, which leaves everyone even more on edge than they were previously.
Later, Neo/Ikeda returns to his room, thinking over the case so far and waiting for Riehl to report to him after informing everyone of what they discovered, only for them to discover a VERY unexpected surprise waiting for them in their bathroom.
Immediately after this, Neo/Ikeda get a call from a mysterious caller called "Wizards", who, in the interest of mutual self-preservation, decides to reach out to Ikeda and share whatever information they have on the killer that's going on a rampage on the island, and what Wizards reveals quickly makes Neo form an idea as to a possible identity of the killer in question, as well as the possible nature of the killer themselves. Unfortunately, the call is cut short, so Neo is unable to learn more from Wizards.
Deciding to use the card that was found on Raymond's corpse, Neo/Ikeda take it upon themselves to investigate Raymond's living quarters on their own in order to better ensure the safety of the other guests... and what Neo/Ikeda finds in there is something that they were completely unprepared for, and things only get crazier and more mysterious from there.
At the end of it, Neo confirms one thing beyond a shadow of a doubt: that the world he's in truly is not what it appears to be on the surface...
