Return to Shironagasu Island (Pt 6): Neo Struggles to Figure Out Who the Killer Is Among the Group
6[BLIND LET'S PLAY]
Neo/Ikeda and Neneko manage to find a staircase that leads back to the first floor of the mansion in the basement lab, but they run into someone unexpected on the way back up: Alex Werner. After speaking to him for a bit, Neo learns that Alex is apparently on Shironagasu Island in the hopes of learning what happened to his grandmother, who was on Shironagasu Island at one point, as was briefly detailed in one of the reports Neneko discovered in the previous episode. However, Alex is evasive on answering Ikeda'ss questions... most notable among them being the existence of Aurora Lavilla, whose name sparks a VERY interesting reaction in Alex that confirms that Alex knows a lot more than he's letting on.
Arriving back in the mansion, Neo and co. reunite with Akira and Gisele, who were apparently attacked by N131 during their trek in the underground lab, although fortunately neither of them ended up getting injured. Ikeda, after listening to the two womens' account of their run-in with the creature, decides to gather everyone in his room to not only fill everyone in on what was discovered in the basement (while leaving out a few key details) but to discuss a new strategy to try and protect themselves from everything that's trying to do them harm. Unfortunately, no one decides to stick around and promptly goes back to their own rooms rather than all stay in one location where they can keep an eye on each other, thus increasing the likelihood of someone else getting killed.
Not long after everyone leaves, Ikeda hears what appears to be a woman screaming, and goes to investigate the noise. He soon finds himself entering Alex's room, thinking it to be the source of the noise, and he intrudes upon Alex... and promptly discovers that "he" is actually a "she" (Or Neo does, at least. It takes a LONG while for the revelation to hit Mr. Goose Detective, much to Neo's chagrin). Ikeda then uses the opportunity to learn even more information about Alex herself. While Neo is quite suspicious of Alex at this point, he has nothing concrete to go on and is thus unable to determine what exactly Alex is still hiding from Ikeda.
After leaving Alex behind and returning to his room, Ikeda receives another call from Wizards, and Ikeda decides to try and turn the tables on Wizards and try to determine their identity, with Neneko's help. Neo initially suspects Wizards to be Jacob, although events that occur shortly after makes Neo consider ANOTHER possible candidate...
