If you want to speedrun Hollow Knight it is not possible to be competitive on the latest version of the game. What you will need to do is downpatch to an earlier version of the game. Also note that you may need to use a down graded version of Hollow Knight in order to use some mods as some mods are broken on the latest version of the game.
