6Normally you'd go up to the 2nd floor via the stairs, and then wait until a short dialogue with Erend is over, then open the hatch and push barrels out of the window.
Using a different route, you can jump upstairs using the barrels, which skips the trigger that starts the dialogue with Erend. Now you are able to open the hatch without Erend coming upstairs, although you have to stay close to the wall to do so. Afterwards, you have a very short time window to turn and examine the barrels to end this section early and completely skip the dialogue with Erend, saving maybe 20 seconds. So this is not 100% consistent, but if you don't get it, it's not a big deal - you just have to listen to the dialogue.
