How to Add a Chatbox to your Live Stream using Streamlabs OBS (Easy Tutorial)
Adding a chatbox overlay to your live stream using Streamlabs OBS can enhance viewer engagement and make your streams more interactive. Here are the steps to set it up:
Download Streamlabs Desktop:
Visit the Streamlabs website and download Streamlabs Desktop1.
Install and open Streamlabs Desktop on your computer.
Add a New Source in OBS Studio:
Open OBS Studio.
Click on “Add Sources” in the Sources panel.
Choose “Browser” as the source type.
Create a New Chat Box Widget:
In Streamlabs Desktop, log in to your dashboard.
Click on “All Widgets” on the left-hand side.
Select “Chat Box” from the widgets gallery.
Customize Your Chat Box:
Adjust the appearance of your chat overlay using the following settings:
Theme: Choose from premade themes or use custom CSS.
Badges: Show different badges (Moderator, Subscribers, Twitch Prime, etc.) in your chatbox.
Extra Emotes: Display BTTV or FFZ emoticons.
Background Color: Set the color behind the chat.
Text Color: Define the color of chat messages.

Copy the Chat Box URL:

Add the Chat Box to OBS:
