How to Add your Youtube or Twitch Live Viewer Count to Streamlabs OBS Scene (Easy Tutorial)
Adding a live viewer count to your Streamlabs OBS scene is a great way to engage your audience and keep track of your viewers. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
Create a Viewer Count Widget in Stream Elements:
First, make sure you have a Stream Elements account. If you don’t, you can create one at StreamElements.com.
Once logged in, navigate to Streaming Tools - Overlays Gallery - Widgets -Viewer Count -Create.
Choose whether to create a new overlay or add to an existing one. If you’re starting fresh, select Create A New Overlay and give it a name.
Click Create My Overlay. You’ll receive a URL for your viewer count widget.
Add the Viewer Count Widget to OBS Studio:
Open OBS Studio and go to the scene where you want to display the viewer count.
Click Sources - --Browser.
Give your browser source a name (e.g., “Viewer Count”).
In the next window, paste the URL from Step 1.
Adjust the width (recommended: 1800 pixels) and click OK.
Customize Your Viewer Count Widget:
While the viewer count widget is simple, you can still make some adjustments.
Go back to Stream Elements and navigate to Streaming Tools - My Overlays.
Select the overlay you created and click Edit.
Inside the Stream Elements editor, find Custom Widget 1 and click Settings.
Modify the font, text size, and color to match your branding.
Save your changes, and they’ll automatically apply in OBS Studio.
