How to Add a Friend on PS4 & Search for Online ID (Best Method)
0To add a friend on your PlayStation 4 (PS4) and search for their Online ID on the PlayStation Network (PSN), follow these steps:
Adding a Friend on PS4
Turn On Your PS4 and Sign In: Ensure you’re signed into your PSN account and connected to the internet.
Access the Friends Menu:
From the PS4 home screen, navigate to the Friends icon (a smiley face) in the function menu at the top.
Press X to open the Friends section.
Search for a Friend:
In the Friends menu, select Search for Players.
Enter the exact Online ID (the PSN username) of the friend you want to add. You can also search by their real name if they’ve allowed it in their privacy settings.
Press Search to find their profile.
Send a Friend Request:
Select the player’s profile from the search results.
Choose Add to Friends (or Send Friend Request).

Select Search for Players.
