To add and accept friend requests on your Xbox Series X|S, you can follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
Select “Profile & system” from the list of options.
Choose “Friends & clubs”.
Select “Find someone”.
Search for the gamertag of the person you want to add as a friend.
Select the person’s gamertag from the search results.
Choose “Add friend”.

If you want to accept a friend request, select “Notifications” from the guide and choose the friend request you want to accept.
You can also add friends by selecting “People you may know” or “Recent players” from the “Friends & clubs” menu
