**NOTE: If you do not plan on upgrading your RAM or purchasing a graphics card in the near future to two 8GB sticks, it is recommended to run 2 4GB sticks for better overall performance with the APU. I recommend this Kingston HyperX Fury set. https://amzn.to/2pOYofg

About this video: In this video, I show you the exact parts you'll need in order to build a gaming PC for less than $500 in 2018. This is our in-depth build guide for a budget $500 PC. There is one catch though, and that catch is with the graphics card. This system doesn't feature a graphics. It works off of an AMD APU letting you run most games such as Fortnite, Minecraft, Leauge of Legends, and DOTA 2 without any issues. You can also add a graphics card later to really knock the performance out of the water!

Now, what AMD APU do we recommend? Well, the AMD Quad-Core Ryzen 5 2400G is going to be your best bet. It's priced very competitively, and the performance you are going to get will allow you to play most modern games without adding in a graphics card.

Moving on the motherboard, this build uses an ASRock AB350M Pro4 MicroATX board with the ability to expand up to 64GB of RAM in addition to supporting all Nvidia or AMD graphics cards through its two PCI-Express slots, meaning you could SLI on this Motherboard. It also has onboard sound, video output, 4 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, and an awesome black and silver finish, which I probably care more about than I should. This is a stellar board for a gaming PC under $500!

After that, let's talk RAM. In the video, I recommend one 8GB stick of G.Skill Aegis DDR4 RAM while suggesting you upgrade to 16GB by buying another stick of RAM as soon as possible. This is great for expandability, but if you don't plan on upgrading the RAM soon, I would instead suggest two 4GB sticks of Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 to allow for better performance of the APU.

In regards to storage, it's simple. We've got a 2TB Toshiba HDD running at 7,200 RPM. This is plenty of ample storage for a budget $500 PC build like this. As far as the case goes, the CoolerMaster MasterBox Lite 5 comes to the rescue. This case has fans in the front and back for easy ventilation, and it has an awesome side window so you can show off your awesome build!

Last but not least, let's talk about the power supply. The power supply for this build is designed to allow you to add in a Nvidia 1050ti later on. Because of that, we're going with the 620W Seasonic M12II. This is an 80W Bronze certified modular power supply. This gives you easier cable management and more sustained use over time by letting you add in more cables as you add in graphics cards, SSDs, and any other tech you would like.

And there you have it how to build a $500 gaming PC in 2018! If this $500 2018 PC build guide did help you out, please like this video and subscribe to the channel for more awesome content every single day of the week. We guarantee you'll love it! Thanks for watching!
