What is the Difference Between The Intel Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, and Core i9 Processors?
What is the difference between the Intel Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, and Core i9 processors you ask? Well, that is exactly what we go over in this video. We talk about all of the differences in Intel's processor lineup going over everything from core count to what features each processor has over another in order to help you decide which is the best for you!

About this video: In this video, I out the all of the different processors in Intel's CPU lineup. We cover everything from their base model Pentium processor to the newest Core i9. We also explain all of the Intel processors in between such as the Core i3, Core i5, and the Core i7. Thus, after you have watched this video, you should know exactly what each processor in Intel's Core series lineup does.
First up we have the Pentium processor which is the baby, and honestly, I cannot recommend it. Thus, there really isn't much of any reason to go over its features. I mean to be truthful, there aren't many features on the Pentium anyway. It's the base model, and with that, it is a very basic processor. I would suggest swinging for an i3 or higher to get much better performance and system longevity.
Thus, let us move on to the Intel Core i3. This is the cheapest processor that is worth buying in Intel's lineup, and all Core i3's feature hyperthreading, which allows for better multitasking, and 2 cores. It is going to have a smaller cache than it's bigger brothers, but with that, it will consume much less power making it a great option for a power-saving or heat conscious build. Overall though, it will provide worse performance than a Core i5.
Speaking of the Intel Core i5, let's dig into what it has to offer. Mobile Core i5s feature 2 cores with hyperthreading while desktop Core i5s have 4 cores without hyperthreading. Every Core i5 has better onboard graphics than a Core i3, and they all feature Turbo Boost which lets you increase the clock speed of a single core in order to get better performance when needed. This is the more middle-tier processor in Intel's lineup.
Now, on to the Intel Core i7. This used to be the top dog when it came to Intel processors, and with that, it ranges anywhere from 2 to 10 cores depending on which model you buy. It also, depending on the model, can run anywhere from 2 sticks of RAM all the way up to 8 sticks of RAM, and typically, all Core i7s have better onboard graphics, faster Turbo Boost, and more cache than the Core i3 and Core i5.
Last but not least, we've got the new kid on the block - the Intel Core i9. This 'new kid' is ready to change things through having anywhere from 10 cores to 18 cores depending on the Core i9 you purchase, and every single one of them has hyperthreading. This means that a Core i9 can have anywhere from 20 to 36 threads. That is flipping insane!! Additionally, all Core i9s have two preferred cored allowing for Turbo Boosting on two cores instead of one, and these two preferred cores making overclocking an i9 freaking insane!
With that being said, I hope this video helped you figure out what the difference is between the Intel Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, and Core i9. If it did, please give the video a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already. It really helps us out, and it means a lot. Thank you very much in advance!
