About this video: In this video, I talk about if it is worth upgrading to 4K and if you should buy a 4K UHD monitor. I go over everything from the price of 4K in 2018 to the actual amount of 4K content produced. With this, you will be able to decide if 4K really is for you, or if you should just wait it out until we see some 8K monitors hitting the shelves. xD
So, what about the price of 4K monitors? Well, the prices of 4K monitors have come down A LOT over the years with incredible monitors being able to be picked up for less than $450, and as far as TV goes, those are getting cheaper now too. Middle-tier 40inch 4K TVs are now running around $400 with some being able to be bought for as long as low $250!
In terms of content, 4K has become the new standard. Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, HBO GO/Now, and even most streaming devices now all support 4K without any issues. Thus, in terms of content, there is no shortage of 4K content on the internet and ready to be streamed! You could also get some 4K Bluerays if that's your thing. Haha.
It is also worth mentioning that 4K monitors and TVs are freaking stunning. If you haven't ever seen a 4K UHD TV in person, go to Best Buy, and do it! You will be blown away by the quality, and it will be amazing. Honestly, once you see a 4K UHD monitor or TV in person, you will be SOLD on buying one. They are absolutely stunning.
