How to Change the Store to a Different Country on Steam Deck (Fast Tutorial)
1To change the Steam Store to a different country on your Steam Deck, you'll need to adjust your account's country settings. This can be useful if you've moved to a new country or want to access a different region's store. Here's how you can do it:
Important Considerations:
Restrictions: You can only change your store country if you are physically located in the new country. Steam detects your location based on your IP address.
Currency: Changing your store country will also change the currency used for purchases.
Purchasing Restrictions: You may need to make a purchase using a payment method that is valid in the new country to finalize the change.
Steps to Change the Store Country on Steam Deck:
Switch to Desktop Mode:
Press the Steam button to open the main menu.
Scroll down to Power and select it.
Choose Switch to Desktop Mode.
Open Steam in Desktop Mode:
Double-click the Steam icon on the desktop to open the Steam client.
Go to Account Details:
Click on your username in the top-right corner of the Steam client.
Select Account details from the dropdown menu.
Change Store Country:
Scroll down to the Store & Purchase History section.
Next to Country, click on the Update store country link.
