To add a non-Steam game to your Steam Deck using Desktop Mode, follow these steps:

1. Switch to Desktop Mode:
Press the Steam button to open the main menu.
Scroll down to Power and select it.
Choose Switch to Desktop mode. This will bring you to the Linux-based desktop interface of your Steam Deck.

2. Open Steam in Desktop Mode:
Once in Desktop Mode, double-click the Steam icon on the desktop or find it in the application menu to open the Steam client.
3. Add a Non-Steam Game:

In the Steam client, go to the top left corner and click on Games.
From the dropdown menu, select Add a Non-Steam Game to My Library.
4. Browse for the Game or Application:

A window will appear listing applications installed on your Steam Deck. If the game or application you want to add is listed, select it.
If it’s not listed, click on Browse... to manually find the executable (.exe or relevant file) of the game or application.
Navigate to the directory where the game is installed.
Once found, select the executable file.
5. Add the Game:

After selecting the game, click Add Selected Programs. This will add the game to your Steam Library.
6. Return to Gaming Mode:

After adding the game, exit Desktop Mode by clicking on the Steam icon on the desktop and choosing Return to Gaming Mode. This will take you back to the standard Steam Deck interface.
7. Launch the Non-Steam Game:

In Gaming Mode, navigate to your Library.

Find the non-Steam game under the Non-Steam section of your library.
You can now launch the game just like any other title in your Steam library.
