How to Change the Welcome Screen Background on PS5 Pro (Settings Tutorial)
2To change the welcome screen background on your PS5 Pro, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Welcome Hub:
Turn on your PS5 Pro and go to the home screen. The Welcome Hub should be visible as one of the icons on the home screen.
Access Customization Options:
On the Welcome Hub, press the Triangle button on your controller to open the utilities menu.
Change Background:
From the utilities menu, select Change Background. This option allows you to customize the background of the Welcome Hub.
Choose Your Background:
You have the following options:
Pre-created backgrounds: These are preset backgrounds provided by Sony.
Media Gallery: Here, you can select images you've taken as screenshots from games or other media on your console.
USB: If you have images on a USB drive, you can plug it into your PS5 Pro, navigate to the USB option, view the image, and then take a screenshot of it to use as a background.
Select and Set the Background:
Navigate through the options, select your desired image, and confirm your choice to set it as the background.
Using Screenshots from USB:
If you want to use an image from a USB:
Copy the image to a USB drive in a folder named 'PS5'.
Insert the USB into your PS5 Pro.
Go to Media Gallery - USB -PS5, select your image, and press the Share button to screenshot it.
Then, revisit the Welcome Hub's background settings and choose the screenshot from your Media Gallery.
