Access the Hidden Web Browser:
From the PS5 Pro home screen, press the PS button on your controller to bring up the control center.
Navigate to Game Base (the chat/friends menu).
Select a friend (or create a new message thread with a secondary account or a trusted friend).
In the message input field, type a URL like “google.com” or “bing.com” and press R2 to send it. This will turn the URL into a clickable hyperlink.
Click the link in the chat. This opens the PS5’s hidden web browser.
Find Your Desired Image:
Use the browser to search for an image you’d like as your profile background. For best results, look for high-resolution images (at least 1920x1080, matching the PS5’s display capabilities).
Once you find an image, select it to view it full-screen if possible. You might need to navigate search results or a specific website (like an image hosting site).
Capture the Image:
With the image displayed, press and hold the Share button on your DualSense controller (the one with the curved-arrow icon) to take a screenshot. Alternatively, press the Share button once, then select Take Screenshot from the menu.
The screenshot will be saved to your Media Gallery. Note that the browser’s interface (like the URL bar) might appear in the shot—try to minimize this by zooming in or adjusting the view beforehand.
Edit the Screenshot (Optional):
Go to the Media Gallery from the home screen.
Open the screenshot you just took, press the Options button on your controller, and select Edit.
Crop or adjust the image to remove any unwanted browser elements and focus on the part you want as your background. Save the edited version.
Set the Image as Your Profile Background:
From the PS5 Pro home screen, select your profile picture in the top-right corner.
Choose Profile from the dropdown menu.
Select Edit Profile (the pencil icon).
Go to Cover Image -Change Image.
Pick Screenshots or Media Gallery, then select your saved image (edited or unedited).
Adjust the positioning if needed, then hit Save.
Confirm the Change:
Once saved, your new custom image will appear as the background when anyone views your PS5 profile. Note that this change only affects the profile page, not the main dashboard.
