How to Change your PlayStation Password on PS4 Console
To change your PlayStation Network (PSN) password directly on your PS4 console, follow these steps:
Go to Settings: From the PS4 home screen, press the "Up" button on your controller to access the main menu, then scroll to and select Settings (the toolbox icon).
Navigate to Account Management: Scroll down and select Account Management.
Access Account Information: Choose Account Information.
Select Security: Scroll to Security and press "X" to select it.
Enter Current Password: You’ll be prompted to enter your current PSN password using the on-screen keyboard. Input it and select Confirm. This verifies your identity.
Choose Password Option: Under the Security menu, select Password (it might appear as "Edit Password" or similar).
Enter New Password: Type your new password using the on-screen keyboard. It must be at least 8 characters long and include at least one letter and one number. You can also use special characters for added security (e.g., @, #). Passwords are case-sensitive.
Confirm New Password: Re-enter the new password in the confirmation field to ensure it matches.
Save Changes: Select Confirm or OK to save. If two-step verification (2SV) is enabled, you may need to enter a code sent to your phone or backup method to finalize the change.
Sign Back In (if needed): You might be signed out after the change. Sign back in using your email (Sign-in ID) and the new password.
