How to Change your First and Last Name on PS4 Account
5To change your first and last name (often referred to as your "real name" on your PS4 account), follow these steps on your PS4 console:
Go to Settings: From the PS4 home screen, press the "Up" button on your controller to access the main menu, then scroll to and select Settings (the toolbox icon).
Navigate to Account Management: Scroll down and select Account Management.
Access Account Information: Choose Account Information.
Select Profile: Scroll to Profile and press "X" to select it.
Choose Name: Select Name. This is where your first and last name are stored, distinct from your Online ID (your public PSN username).
Enter Your Password (if prompted): For security, you may need to input your PSN password using the on-screen keyboard, then select Confirm.
Edit First and Last Name: Use the on-screen keyboard to enter your new first name and last name in the respective fields. Note that this doesn’t affect your Online ID, which is changed separately.
Confirm Changes: Select Confirm or OK to save your new name. You might need to agree to terms or acknowledge that this info could be visible depending on your privacy settings.
