How to Hide your Gaming History on your PS4 Account
3To hide your gaming history on your PS4 account and keep your activity private from other players, you can adjust your privacy settings. Here’s how to do it:
Access Privacy Settings:
From the PS4 home screen, go to Settings (the toolbox icon in the top right corner).
Scroll down and select Account Management, then choose Privacy Settings.
You may need to sign in with your PlayStation Network (PSN) account credentials to proceed.
Hide Specific Games:
In the Privacy Settings menu, select Hidden Games.
You’ll see a list of games tied to your account. Check the box next to any game you want to hide, then confirm your selection.
This prevents the selected games from appearing in your activities, profile, or trophy list when others view your profile. However, note that people can still see what you’re currently playing in "Now Playing" unless you take additional steps (see below).
Control Who Sees Your Gaming History:
Back in the Privacy Settings menu, go to Gaming | Media.
Select Who can see your gaming history.
You can choose from options like "Anyone," "Friends of Friends," "Friends," or "No One." To fully hide your gaming history, select No One. This ensures no one can see the games you’ve played or your progress.
Hide Your Online Status and Current Game:
To prevent others from seeing what you’re currently playing, go to your Profile from the PS4 home screen.
Select Set Online Status and choose Appear Offline. This makes it look like you’re not online, hiding both your status and the game you’re playing in real-time.
Hide Games from Your Library (Optional):
If you want to declutter your library and hide games from view (without affecting privacy), go to Library from the home screen.
Select Purchased, highlight a game, press the Options button on your controller, and choose Do Not Show Content Item in [Purchased]. This only hides it from your library’s Purchased section, not from others viewing your profile.
