About this video: If you want to know how to change your Minecraft resolution, this is the video for you! We show you exactly how to set your Minecraft resolution allowing you to play Minecraft without being fullscreen at any resolution you want. Whether you want to make Minecraft 4k, 1440p, 1080p, or anything other resolution you want to play Minecraft at.
To do this, you will need to open up the Minecraft Launcher. Then, from there, click on the “Installations” tab at the top. After that, click on the Minecraft Installation you want to change your resolution on.
Here, you will see a “Resolution” option with two boxes. The first box is your width and the second number is the height of your Minecraft window. For example, 1920 in the first box and 1080 in the second box would make Minecraft 1080p. You can also click the little icon next to the resolution, and you will see a drop down with a bunch of preset resolutions.
After you have set your Minecraft resolution, click the “Save” button in the bottom right. Now, when you play Minecraft, it will be the resolution you set.
However, you can also set a fullscreen resolution. This is done in Minecraft itself. Open up Minecraft and then go to the “Options” menu and “Video Settings”. At the top of this page, you will see your fullscreen resolution. That will allow you to set a different resolution than your monitor when playing Minecraft fullscreen. This is great if you want to increase Minecraft’s performance while playing fullscreen.
