About this video: This video is a complete guide on how to find your Minecraft logs folder. We go over a few different ways to find your Minecraft logs as well, so you can be confident that no matter what you will be able to locate your Minecraft log folders for both vanilla and modded Minecraft.

To get started, we’ll go over the easiest way to find your Minecraft logs - using the Minecraft Launcher. Open up the Minecraft Launcher, and then, in the launcher, click on the “Installations” tab at the top. Hover over the Minecraft installation that you want to find your logs for, this could be modded Minecraft logs or vanilla, and then click on the folder icon that appears.

Your .minecraft folder will open. In this folder, you will have a “logs” folder. Open this folder, and you will see all of the logs Minecraft. Some of these may have mod loader names such as Forge, NeoForge, or Fabric. These are specific logs for those mod loaders. However, all logs will have a date. You may need to use a program like 7Zip or WinRAR to decompress the log files to view them. However, your most recent latest log file can always be opened with a text editor.

What if you can’t open up the Minecraft Launcher though? Well, in that case, you will want to open up the “Run” program on your computer. You can search for this in the start menu or press the Windows Key + R to open it.

In the Run app, type %appdata% and hit enter. This will open your roaming folder. In this folder, you will see a .minecraft folder. Open your .minecraft folder, and there will be a “logs” folder. This is where all of your Minecraft log files will be.

Just like with the other method of finding your Minecraft modded log files, you may need to unzip the files to see older logs.

At this point though, you now know how to find your Minecraft logs. If you have any questions about finding your modded Minecraft logs, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.

Otherwise, if we did help you find your Minecraft log files, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe if you haven’t already. Thank you very, very much in advance!
