About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to make a server in Minecraft Bedrock Edition for 2025. This guide is completely and fully updated to allow you to get the best Minecraft Bedrock server hosting experience possible. So, without any more delay, here is how to create a server in Minecraft Bedrock!
First things first, we will need to download the Minecraft Bedrock dedicated server files. There is a link in the description above to download these files directly on Minecraft’s official website.
On the Bedrock server files download page, click the “I agree to the Minecraft End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy” checkbox assuming that you agree to them and then click the green “Download” button. This will download the Minecraft Bedrock Edition server files.
Next, move the bedrock-server-version-zip file to your desktop. Then, right-click on those and click “Extract All” and click “Extract”. Your Minecraft Bedrock Edition server files will then extract into a new folder on your desktop.
You’ll now have a folder with all of your Bedrock server files in it. Open this folder, and there will be a “bedrock_server.exe” file. Double-click this file, and your Minecraft Bedrock Edition server will start.
Now, open up the start menu and search for CMD. In the CMD, type “ipconfig” and hit enter. A bunch of numbers will appear. We want to take note of your IPv4 address and the default gateway.
As of now, you are the only person that can join your server, but it is worth testing to confirm things are working. Open up Minecraft Bedrock, click Play, and navigate to the server’s tab. Then, add a server with the IP address being your IPv4 address. Save the server and join it. You will now connect to your Minecraft Bedrock Edition server.
How can your friends join your Minecraft Bedrock Edition server though? Well, in order to play Bedrock Edition with your friends, you will need to port forward. This will allow your friends to join your server using your public IP.
To get started port forwarding for Minecraft Bedrock Edition, open your browser and type the default gateway into your browser’s web address bar and hit enter. A login box will appear. This is your router’s login page, and you can find a link on how to find your router’s username and password in the description above.
In your router, you are looking for port forwarding. This could be under a bunch of different names, but once you find port forwarding, you will need to forward the port 19132 on the TCP and UDP protocols. This all covered super in-depth in the video.
From here, you can go to the link in the description above to get your public IP address. This is what your friends will use to join your Minecraft server. At this point, as long as the server is online, and your Windows Defender Firewall or another firewall on your router or computer aren’t block the connection, your friends will be able to join your Bedrock Edition server using your public IP.
With that being said, you now know how to make a server in Minecraft Bedrock Edition. If you have any questions about how to create a server for Minecraft Bedrock, let us know in the comments. We will try our best to help you out.
