2The best and fastest way to check the status of any downloads or uploads on your PS5 is by using the Control Center. This method is effective because it gives you a real-time overview of all active and recently completed transfers without you needing to navigate through multiple menus.
The Best Method: Using the Control Center
Press the PS Button: While on the home screen or in a game, press the PS button on your DualSense controller. This will bring up the Control Center at the bottom of your screen.
Navigate to the Downloads/Uploads Icon: In the row of icons at the bottom of the screen, look for the downloads/uploads icon. This icon looks like a downward-pointing arrow with a line underneath it. It will only appear when there are active downloads or uploads.
