How to Upload Video Clips to PlayStation App on Phone from PS5 Console (Best Method)
A very convenient feature of the PS5 is the ability to upload your video clips and screenshots directly to the PlayStation App on your phone. This allows you to quickly view, download, and share your captures without needing a USB drive or a PC.
There are two main methods to do this, both of which are part of the "best method" for a seamless experience.
The Best Method: Enabling Auto-Upload
This is the most convenient way, as it automates the process for you.
Step 1: Link Your PS5 to the PlayStation App
First, make sure the PlayStation App is installed on your phone (available for iOS and Android).
Log in to the app with the same PlayStation Network account you use on your PS5.
Ensure your PS5 is linked to your account.
Step 2: Enable Auto-Upload on Your PS5
From the PS5 home screen, go to Settings (the gear icon in the top right).
Navigate to Captures and Broadcasts.
On the left-hand menu, select Captures.
On the right-hand side, you should see an Auto-Upload option. Turn it on.
Step 3: Ensure Your Console Can Connect to the Internet in Rest Mode
For auto-upload to work while you're not actively using the console, you need to enable a setting.
Go to Settings System Power Saving Features Available in Rest Mode.
Make sure "Stay Connected to the Internet" is enabled.
