How to Connect PS5 Controller to iPhone & iPad (100% Works!)
To connect a PlayStation 5 (PS5) DualSense or DualSense Edge controller to your iPhone or iPad, follow these steps:
Ensure Compatibility: Your iPhone or iPad must be running iOS 14.5/iPadOS 14.5 or later. Check this in Settings - General - About. Update your device if needed via Settings - General - Software Update.
Turn Off the Controller: Ensure the PS5 controller is off. Press and hold the PS button (center, PlayStation logo) for 10–15 seconds until the light bar turns off. If it’s connected to a PS5, disconnect any USB cable or turn off the console to avoid interference.
Enter Pairing Mode: Press and hold the PS button and the Create/Share button (left of the touchpad, with three lines) simultaneously for 3–5 seconds. The light bar will flash blue, indicating pairing mode.
Enable Bluetooth on Your Device: On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings - Bluetooth and ensure Bluetooth is toggled on (green). You can also access Bluetooth via Control Center by swiping down from the top-right corner, long-pressing the Bluetooth icon, and selecting Bluetooth Settings.
Pair the Controller: In the Bluetooth settings, under “Other Devices,” look for “DualSense Wireless Controller” or “DualSense Edge Wireless Controller.” Tap it to connect. A confirmation prompt may appear; select Pair. Once connected, the controller’s light bar will stop flashing and may turn orange or steady.
Test the Connection: Open a compatible game (e.g., Apple Arcade titles or games like Call of Duty: Mobile) to ensure the controller works. Check game settings to confirm controller support.
