How to Connect Your iPad Mini 6 (2021) to Your TV or Monitor Using a USB-C to HDMI DP Alt Mode Cable
0In this video I'm showing the simplest way for you to connect your Apple iPad Mini 6 (2021) to your TV or monitor using a USB C to HDMI cable. This cable will also work with the iPad Pro 2018, iPad Pro 2020, iPad 2021 and any Mac with USB C and DP Alt Mode compatibility.
The important thing with this cable or any other similar cables that work with any iPad that have USB C for HDMI output, is that it conforms to the DP Alt Mode standard and specifications. DP Alt Mode is an abbreviation for Display Port Alternate Mode.
This USB C to HDMI cable is capable of up to 4K 60Hz (60FPS) and it can also be used with a HDR TV or monitor, the iPad Mini can be switched to HDR with the HDMI cable, the iPad Pro 2020 and iPad Pro M1 2021 are also HDR compatible with this cable. So are most modern Macs, I'm not sure about the iPad Pro 2018 or the iPad Air 2020.
Keep an eye on my channel as I will be testing and showing some of the USB C hubs and cables I'd shown at the start of the video. Some of these hubs can do 4K 60 with the iPad Pro M1 and iPad Pro 2020 and also have ethernet sockets to connect hard wired to an internet router or modem. Some also have SD card readers and USB C ports.
I will also show my iPad Mini 6 desktop setup and iPad Pro desktop setup soon and also my iPad Mini 6 gaming setup, which basically converts the iPad Mini 2021 into a gaming console.
