How to Deactivate PC & Sign out of STEAM Remotely (Best Method)
Remotely signing out of your Steam account is a crucial security measure, especially if you've logged in on a public or shared computer and forgot to sign out, or if you suspect your account has been compromised. The most effective method is to use Steam's built-in "Deauthorize all other devices" feature. This will immediately sign your account out on all other PCs, mobile devices, and web browsers.
The Best Method: Deauthorize All Devices
This method is the most comprehensive way to ensure no one else has access to your Steam account. It requires you to be logged into a trusted device, such as your own computer or phone.
Open Steam Settings:
Launch the Steam client on your computer.
Click on Steam in the top-left corner of the window.
From the dropdown menu, select Settings.
Access Steam Guard Management:
In the Settings menu, navigate to the Security tab.
Here, you will see a button that says "Manage Steam Guard Account Security..." or a similar option. Click this button.
Deauthorize All Devices:
A new window will appear with your Steam Guard settings.
At the very bottom of this page, you will see the option: "Deauthorize all other devices."
Click this button.
Confirm the Action:
A confirmation pop-up will appear, explaining what the action does. It will sign you out of all devices and browsers, and you will need to re-enter your account name, password, and Steam Guard code to log back in.
Click "Proceed" to confirm.
