2There are a couple of ways to delete a game from your PS5 to free up space. The "best method" depends on whether you want to delete a single game quickly or manage your storage more comprehensively. Both methods are straightforward and reliable.
Method 1: The Quickest Way (from the Home Screen)
This is the fastest way to delete a single game that you can see on your home screen.
On the PS5 home screen, highlight the game you want to delete.
Press the Options button on your DualSense controller (the button with three lines to the right of the touchpad).
A menu will pop up on the right side of the screen. Select "Delete".
A confirmation message will appear. Select "OK" to confirm the deletion.
Method 2: The Best Method for Managing Storage
This method is better if you want to see a breakdown of your storage, find out which games are taking up the most space, and even delete multiple games at once.
From the PS5 home screen, go to the top-right corner and select the Settings icon (the gear icon).
In the Settings menu, scroll down and select "Storage".
Select "Games and Apps".
This will bring up a list of all the games and applications installed on your PS5's internal storage, sorted by file size. This is a great way to see which games are the biggest storage hogs.
To delete a game, select the checkbox next to its name. You can select multiple games to delete at the same time.
