Accepting a friend request on your PS5 is a quick and simple process, thanks to the centralized Game Base feature. Here is the best method to manage and accept incoming friend requests:
Method 1: Via the Notification (Fastest Method)
This is the fastest and most direct way to accept a friend request as soon as you receive it.
When a friend sends you a request, you will see a pop-up notification in the top right corner of your screen.
Press the PS button on your controller to open the Control Center.
The notification will often be a direct link. You can select it directly, or you can go to the Notifications card (the bell icon).
Select the friend request notification, and you will be taken to a screen where you can Accept or Decline the request.
Method 2: Via the Game Base (Centralized Method)
This method is useful if you missed the initial notification or want to manage all your pending requests at once.
From the PS5 home screen, press the PS button on your DualSense controller. This opens the Control Center.
