About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to download and install the Fear Nightfall modpack in Minecraft. This modpack is one of the best horror modpacks out there with a story based progression system and tons of custom features including scary mobs and a final boss! There is even a custom shader pack to help make Fear Nightfall even more scary.
To get started, we will need to download the CurseForge App. This is what we will use to get Fear Nightfall installed. There is a link in the description above to download CurseForge. This will take you to our complete text guide on the CurseForge App. Click the download button here to go to the official CurseForge App download page.
On this page, select “Download Standalone”, and the CurseForge Installer will download. Open the CurseForge Installer and click the Next button. Agree to the CurseForge ToS, assuming you agree to it, and then click Next again. The CurseForge App will then being downloading and installing.
Once it is finished, the CurseForge App will open. You can click to continue as guest, and you may be taken through a quick guide to using CurseForge. From there, click on “Minecraft” and click “Continue” to get CurseForge ready for Minecraft modpacks.
From there, you will land on your My Modpacks tab. At the top, search for “Fear Nightfall”. The Fear Nightfall modpack will appear. Click on the “Install” button on it, and Fear Nightfall will begin downloading and installing.
While Fear Nightfall is installing, you may want to add more RAM to it. To do this, click on the “Settings” cog wheel in the bottom left of CurseForge. Then, click on “Minecraft” in the sidebar. Scroll all the way down and find “Allocated Memory” for Fear Nightfall, we recommend setting this between 6,000MB and 8,000MB.
When you have done that, go back to the My Modpacks tab, and once Fear Nightfall is finished downloading, you can hover over it and click the “Play” button. This will open the Minecraft Launcher.
You will need to login to the Minecraft Launcher. This is complete safe as this is the default Minecraft Launcher just opened via CurseForge.
In the Minecraft Launcher, click on “Minecraft Java Edition” on the left-hand sidebar and then, click the “Play” button. Click Play again to confirm you are playing Minecraft with a modpack, and Minecraft will open with the Fear Nightfall modpack installed!
From here, you can play Fear Nightfall in singleplayer or on a server if the server is setup with the modpack. Honestly, playing Fear Nightfall with your friends is a great way to take this modpack to the next level.
