About this video: I do want to note that while this video was originally for 1.16.3, it is completely compatible with Minecraft 1.16.4. The process is the same and it is fully working in both versions.
In this video, we go over how to download, install, and setup Just Enough Items in Minecraft 1.16.4. Just enough Items is also known and the ‘JEI mod’, so we are also showing you how to download and install JEI for Minecraft 1.16.4. What is the JEI mod? Well, it allows you to quickly and easily see how to craft items in Minecraft. It works with pretty much all mods for Minecraft 1.16.4, and thus, it is must have in modded Minecraft, so you can see how to craft all of the different blocks that have been added it. Thus, without any more delay, here is how to download and install Just Enough Items in Minecraft 1.16.4.
The first step of getting Just Enough Items 1.16.4 is download and install Forge. You can find the our in-depth guide to getting Forge for Minecraft 1.16.4 in the description above. That tutorial has helped over a million people setup Forge, and it will help you get it up and running as well. It even troubleshoots any issues you may have when getting 1.16.4 Forge.
After you have Forge setup, we can move to downloading Just Enough Items for Minecraft 1.16.4. You can find a link to download JEI 1.16.4 in the description above. When you click that link, it will actually take you to our text tutorial for getting JEI. This is great if we got too fast in this video. Once you are here, click on the yellow ‘Download Just Enough items’ button to be taken to be taken to the official Just Enough Items download page.
Once you are on the official JEI download page, look at the right-hand side, and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.16’ section. Under this, you will see a ‘jei-1.16.4’ version. Click the purple download button next to this, and Just Enough Items 1.16.4 will start downloading after a few seconds. You may need to keep/save the file depending on your browser.
Now that you have Just Enough Items downloaded, we can get it installed. In order to do this, hit the Windows key on your computer and ‘R’ at the exact some time. This will open up the run application. In the text box in this app, type ‘%appdata%’, and hit entire. This will open your roaming folder. In here, you will have a .minecraft folder. Open that, and you will see a ‘mods’ folder. If you don’t have a mods folder, just create one! Open your mods folder. All you need to do in order to install Just Enough Items in Minecraft 1.16.4 is drag-and-drop it into this mods folder. It is that easy.
You aren’t complete done just yet though. You still need to open up the Minecraft launcher, click the little arrow next to the play button, select the ‘Forge’ profile, and click Play. Minecraft 1.16.4 will now open up with Just Enough Items installed!
