First things first, we need to download and install the Forge Mod Loader. Forge is required for MineColonies 1.18.1. The good news is that we have a complete guide on how to get Forge in the description above. It goes over everything that you need to know for Forge 1.18.1, and even how to fix some of the issues you may have when install Forge for 1.18.1 MineColonies.
After you have Forge, we can download MineColonies. You can find the MineColonies download link in the description above. When you click that link, it will take you to MineColonies’ download page. On this page, look at the right-hand side and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.18’ section. Under that, you will see the MineColonies 1.18.1 download. Click the orange download button next to this, and MineColonies will start downloading after a few seconds. You may need to keep or save MineColonies depending on your browser.
You aren’t don’t download yet though. MineColonies requires 4 compatibility mods in order to work. These are Structurize, BlockUI, Domum Ornamentum, and Multi-Piston. The download process is the same for all four of these mods, and they must all be downloaded in addition to MineColonies.
With MineColonies and all of its compatibility mods downloaded, it is time to learn how to install MineColonies 1.18.1 in Minecraft! To do this, open up Minecraft with Forge by clicking the arrow next to to the play button, selecting ‘Forge’, and click ‘Play’. When you do this, Minecraft 1.18.1 will open up with Forge.
From the main menu of Minecraft, click on ‘mods’, and click ‘Open Mods Folder’ in the bottom left. This will open your mods folder. Finally, to get MineColonies in Minecraft 1.18.1, drag-and-drop MineColonies, Structurize, BlockUI, Domum Ornamentum, and Multi-Piston int this mods folder. When you do, you have installed MineColonies. However, you aren’t finished because you still need to restart Minecraft making sure you open it with Forge in order to get MineColonies active in game.
Once you are in game, you can get a build wand, a blueprint, and start building your MineColony.
