About this video: In this video, we show you how to reduce lag on your Minecraft server using the Minecraft sever files. Specifically, we show you how to setup the Bukkit, Spigot, and Paper files on your server in order to increase performance, stop lag, and overall get the best experience possible out of your Minecraft server. This is one of the easiest way to stop lag on a Minecraft server as it is as simple as changing a few settings and restarting your server. Thus, without anymore delay, here is how to configure your Minecraft server files.

First up, let’s look at how to configure the Bukkit server files. Here, you want to change spawn-limits, which will lower the amount of mobs that spawn, chunk period ticks, which will make less chunks tick, and increase the ticker per mob spawns setting in order to make mobs spawn less frequently dropping lag. That is all you need to do to setup your Bukkit server files.

Next, we can go over how to configure your Spigot server files. For your Spigot file, you will need to change the max tick time, mob spawn range, entity activation range, tick inactive villagers, the merge radius, nerf-spawner-mobs, item-despawn-rate, and the arrow-despawn-rate. Changing all of these settings will help increase performance on your Minecraft server.

When it comes to how to configure your Paper server files in order to stop lag on your Minecraft server, there are tons of different settings to change. So many in fact that we can’t really outline them in the description of this video without it being seven miles long. Some of the most important settings for stopping lag on your Minecraft server with your Paper server files is the mob spawner tick rate, optimize explosion, despawn ranges, using eigencraft redstone, and ticking armor stands. All of the Paper settings outlined in the video are important, but these are some of the most important and will help a ton with stopping lag on your Minecraft server.

Once you have made the changes outlined in the video, you will be able to restart your server. This will make the changes activate, and in a lot of cases, you will start getting better performance out of your Minecraft server right away.

At this point though, you now know how to configure your Paper, Spigot, and Bukkit server files on your Minecraft server in order increase performance and stop lag. If you have any questions about how to configure your Paper server, let us know in the comments. We will try to help you out. Otherwise, if we did help you configure your Spigot server, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe. Thank you very, very much in advance!
