How to Enable Fast Boot in Bios menu on Windows 10 or 11 PC (Settings Tutorial)
To enable or disable Fast Boot in the UEFI/BIOS of your Windows 10 or 11 PC, follow these steps:
Shut down your PC if it’s powered on.
Boot into the UEFI/BIOS firmware settings. The exact method to access the BIOS varies depending on your PC or motherboard manufacturer. Typically, you can do this by pressing a specific key during startup (often F2, F12, or Delete).
Once in the BIOS, navigate to the Boot tab.
Look for the Fast Boot option. Depending on your system, you might find it under different names or categories.
Select Fast Boot and choose whether to enable or disable it based on your preference.
Press F10 to Save & Exit Setup.
Confirm your selection by selecting OK.
Keep in mind the following points:
Fast Boot reduces boot time by initializing only a minimal set of devices required for launching the active boot option.
If you enable Fast Boot, you may not be able to boot from a USB flash drive unless you boot from the USB within Windows.
Disabling Fast Boot might be necessary if you use Wake-on-LAN, as it can cause issues when your PC is shut down with Fast Boot enabled.
In some cases, Windows Updates may fail if Fast Boot is enabled.
